Chormusic connects europe
The discovery and presentation of works in the field of European choir music is the particular objective of the EuropaChor Akademie that was founded in 1997 by Professor Joshard Daus. Young people are brought together and frontiers overcome through working together on European music from the whole of Europe. Thus, in the EuropaChorAkademie different choir traditions meet together and a unique musical ensemble is emerging in this Continent.
In addition to the artistic work, the EuropaChorAkademie is involved in the training and further training of young people. In academies and master courses, choir singers and conductors are given further training under renowned guest conductors, such as Sylvain Cambreling, Michael Gielen and Gerd Albrecht, in order thus, in co-operation with the choir and orchestra, to practise choir symphonic music at the highest artistic level in the whole of Europe.
